Public Relations

The Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce’s Public Relations Division creates vital opportunities for Southland businesses and their executive leaders and owners. The focus of the division is to foster the right communications support for community-based business development and empower other members to shop and buy local.

The PR and Marketing Division informs as many media outlets as possible about the Chamber’s:

  • Local or National Initiatives
  • Industrial and Trade Awards
  • Important Accomplishments

PR and Marketing utilizes Chamber press releases to get members’ messages posted and into the hands of media outlets that they could not reach individually since the information might not be considered “newsworthy” on its own.

As part of the Chamber, members’ messages get rolled into the Chamber’s message and become a stronger voice in the marketplace and therefore is picked up and published in most media outlets.

In 2012, our definite goal for the Chamber is to expand media relationships and media sponsors for both radio and broadcast platforms.
